Q2) You will be writing interview questions. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist or HR Business Partner, crafting interview questions with the hiring supervisor is a basic skill. For this exercise, there is not a specific job, as these questions are universal.

• After reviewing Table 12.1, Socialization Program Choices, otherwise known as onboarding, select one and justify why it is the best option in a an organization with multiple locations. Now determine which option would be the least viable.

• Summarize and identify socialization programs you have personally experienced as a new hire. If you could change one program at an employer, what it would be?
Whichever you choose to answer, be sure to include what you learned from the articles/videos posted in D2L.

This is your last weekly assignment!! Respond to ONE of the following:
• CEOs send out company-wide communication often, but can you figure out what might impact staffing? Here is your challenge: After reviewing the President’s budget message (from Clackamas Community College) and Table 1.1, which of the 7 components of strategic staffing did you find? Explain your rationale.
Hint: The ‘addressing vacancies’ paragraph on page 2 has a few acronyms, such as FTF POR, which stands for ‘full time faculty position opening request.’
• After watching the CEO video and Science of Happiness video posted in D2L, how is staffing impacted?
• Research 2 current articles (Forbes is okay) that are related to staffing. Be sure to identify which of the 7 components you are seeing. Don’t forget to add a link to each 🙂 I also recommend using SHRM’s HR Magazine as a source too.
• You’ve had weeks of experience working on your group term papers. Share three key take-aways you have learned from this experience.
