Service Market Company Analysis

Overview

The final project for this course is the creation of a Service Market Company Analysis. Individually, you will analyze a current company that operates BOTH locally and internationally, which has service marketing challenges or issues. This company must also have a website with a specific Human Resources section of the site.
The final product represents an authentic demonstration competency, due to the fact that you will be analyzing a real, operating company. The project is divided into Five (5) milestones, which will be submitted at various points throughout the course to scaffold learning and ensure quality final submissions. These milestones will be submitted in Modules 2, 4, 5, 7, and 8.

Format

Milestone One: Project Proposal
In 2-3 Final Project: Submit Milestone #1, you will submit the Project Proposal. This should include a description of the company and a specific business problem facing that company. Remember, this company must meet the criteria listed in the overview above. The format should be in paragraph form and between 1-2
pages in length.
Milestone Two: Competitor, Website and Human Resources Analysis
In 4-4 Final Project: Submit Milestone #2, you will submit a Competitor Analysis as well as a Website and Human Resources Analysis. This should include an analysis of the competitors to the company. Include what those companies are doing differently (related to Service Marketing) that is making them more successful. In addition, this should include an analysis of the company’s website and the Human Resources section of the site. The format should be in paragraph form and between 2-3 pages in length.
Milestone Three: Technology Assessment and Global Market Assessment
In 5-2 Final Project: Submit Milestone #3, you will submit a Technology Assessment as well as a Global Market Assessment. For the Technology Assessment explore how the company you have chosen leverages technology to enhance service. Your Global Market Assessment is to assess how the company is positioned internationally and the challenges they face in the global market. The format should be in paragraph form and between 2-3 pages in length.
Milestone Four: Final Report
In 7-3 Final Project: Submit Milestone #4, you will submit the Final Report. This should include the proposed solution(s) to the challenge(s) facing this company.
It should be a complete, polished artifact containing all of the main elements of the final product. It should reflect the incorporation of feedback gained throughout the course. This milestone will be graded using the Final Project Rubric. This final submission should be 8-10 pages in length.

Milestone Five: Final Project Presentation
In 8-1 Discussion: Final Project Presentation, you will post your presentation to share with your classmates. This should summarize the work that has been done throughout the course.
