This week, you will be able to share the decision making process you used to resolve an ethical issue with your classmates. You have probably wondered how your classmates used an ethical decision making model to work through a variety of healthcare dilemmas and this week you will be able to find out. We all get such great ideas from sharing and interacting with each other.
Share your Decision Making Paper/PPP/Glogster with your classmates. Summarize your ethical decision making assignment in a few paragraphs stating:
o Identify and describe the decision making model you used.
o Briefly state the dilemma you choose for your paper.
o Walk your class mates through each step of the decision making process using the model as a framework.
o Examines the various options available for dealing with the dilemma.
o Describe how the dilemma was resolved.
Replies: Students should evaluate a minimum of 3 of their peer’s decision making process, according to the following questions:
o Critique the decision making model used. Is there a better model to resolve the stated dilemma?
o Are the steps in the model logically and fairly applied?
o Should different or addition principles and/or rules been applied for a better resolution?
o Do you agree with the resolution reached? If yes, why? If no, why not?
Remember the basic rules of posting:
o You must include a minimum of two citations to support what you write, and they must be in APA format. At least one should be from a source other than your texts and readings and should follow the basic rules of not more than 5 years old and be peer-reviewed sources.
o Emotion and intent clearly come through in this medium.
o Be courteous, non-judgmental, and supportive, even when you disagree.
o Postings must have substance: “I agree” or “Good posting” are examples of postings that do not meet this criteria and will not count as a required posting.
o Always check the grading rubric as you reply to ensure you meet all criteria and earn all the points possible.
Note: As always, all discussion postings must be in APA format, as much as possible, and use proper citations. The initial reply to the DQ must contain a minimum of two citations, one from the assigned weekly readings, and one from an additional scholarly source.
