For national statistics on communicable/infectious diseases and environmental health go to the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) for data that is specific to each state. Try and find data on these sites that have not already been shared on the board. Your should also explore your state or country health department websites and WHO for international reports on these topics.

Local resources for health care providers (New York City has a service for providers that may be available in some form in other localities):
Under Health Service Providers/Selected rogram and Services For Providers there is a special program called NYC MED for healthcare providers in NYC. Members receive eblasts when there are outbreaks of infectious diseases. Recent examples included outbreaks of measles in children residing in the ultraorthodox Jewish community, drug resistent infections in gay males. It also provides notices and updates on contaminated medications.
