Instructional designers need to be able to combine learning experience assets into an appropriate learning flow sequence by combining instructional and learning strategies that are aligned to the learner needs and their organization’s outcome goals. They also need to consider the limitations of the organization to choose the right tools when designing experience sequences.

Now that you have designed the vision for an experience and developed specific assets by instructional strategy, learning strategy and modality, practice combining those assets into an appropriate scope and sequence, known as an experience flow, and testing that experience flow with target learners for feedback.

Designing the learning experience solution to address specific learner needs is critical for ensuring that you are providing an effective solution. However, the implementation of that solution, and ultimately how that implementation affects learner outcomes and organizational goals, should always be evaluated through a testing process. Further evolve the learning experience validation portion of your Learning Experience Design Brief to include:

  • A 200-250 word Test Plan section for evaluating the complete learning experience solution with real-life target users. Adjust your individual instructional and learning assets based on Week 4 submission paper.
  • Synthesize the user needs determined in the instructional and learning assets created in Topic 4 into a learner experience flow phases using tables.
  • An end-user experience survey to obtain qualitative data during user testing.
  • List the possible results of the evaluation from the user testing (both quantitative and qualitative data).
  • In 250-500 words, synthesize results into clear actions to include in the Final Solution Design section of the brief. Discuss the results and the changes you will make to your prototype before full implementation. Support your decisions using the data collected.

Support your new sections with a minimum of three scholarly resources.

Now that your design has undergone validation, begin referring to this project document as a validation brief. Your new submission should reflect this change.

Based on instructor feedback, adjust previously completed sections of your Learning Experience Design Brief. Submit the entire Learning Experience Validation Brief and link to your complete learning experience flow in the learning management system.
