Developing a Teaching Plan

Teaching Plan and PEEK assessment are due week 4, Friday 2359
This assignment is graded on a 0-100 percent scale and is worth 20% of your final grade for the course.
This week you will complete a two-part assignment, a teaching plan and a PEEK Assessment
First, you will develop a teaching plan on the topic you chose for the week 3 forum. You have your topic and have developed your objectives, so the hardest part is done! Now you will need to consider the specific content for your teaching plan, how you will deliver it, the time assigned to each topic, and the methods you will use for evaluation.
You will also complete the PEEK assessment so you can identify how ready your potential student is to learn.
In this tabbed display, you will find a Sample Teaching Plan and below that you will find a template for the Teaching Plan and PEEK assessment. You should download and save the template, personalize the title page and then complete the table/PEEK assessment contents. The boxes on the tables will expand as you type. If you use your text or any other sources, please use the reference list at the end.

Teaching Plan
Although in your text this is brief, do not hesitate to expand on information
Imagine that you could not teach your class. Could another person pick up your plan and know what they should do?
Although your text book is brief in the “content” section, please ensure you list or describe all of the content for each particular objective.
PEEK Assessment (See chapter 4 in your text)
First, identify the topic you would be teaching (this can be different than your teaching plan topic) and provided a brief line or two about your client and why you are assessing them for the specific topic. There is no grade for the information about your learner.
The PEEK assessment needs to be well developed. For example, in physical readiness under health status, it would be appropriate to discuss any health issues and whether this might impact learning. Or with gender, it is important to link gender with learning, so writing male or female is not adequate, more discussion is needed.
