Enhancing Communication for Change in the Cardiac Cath Lab

A change project’s success depends on good communication, and this is especially true in the Outpatient Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) (Blankenship (2020). Challenges like scheduling problems and patients not taking their pre-procedure medications as prescribed can have a big impact on efficiency and patient results. Staff motivation can be improved, and practical problems can be solved by creating and using a customized communication tool that includes clear messaging, illustrations, targeted approaches, and delivery through multiple channels. The Cath Lab can be more productive and help patients get better care by encouraging teamwork, new ideas, and constant growth through organized communication.
