Assessment 2: Bright Ideas Competition

Assignment Task

Building on the first assignment using the same business idea students have developed as a part of the team and taking on board the feedback from the presentation, students are asked to produce an individual feasibility study for the same business idea, which will need to be submit via Canvas Assignment 2 submission point.

It is expected that some research students have undertook and shared as a part of the team work for the first assignment will feature in this submission; however this submission should be written as an individual assignment and students are encouraged to do further research to establish feasibility of the business idea.  This can also mean that some of the elements of the business idea could be different from assignment 1 group submission, e.g. value proposition, target customer, business model and etc.

All submissions will be automatically entered into the Kingston University Bright Ideas Competition. You will be contacted by the Kingston University Entrepreneurship center if your entry gets shortlisted.

The submission will have to address the following elements:

• The need or problem your product or services addresses (Students must reference relevant data to support their key assumptions)

• The solution – a product or service you offer (Students need to describe their business solution, specifying unique selling point and how it meets the problem identified)

• Alternatives/competitors for your product or services on the market and how you plan to address the competition, what is your unique selling point

• Who is your customer and why (Students need to specify who the main customer is and why)

• What is your Business Model
