Sociological Imagination

General Instructions:

  • Think about how you can package together some of the different textual requirements with some of the concepts.
    • The order in which the concepts and textual requirements below are listed is NOT the order in which you are to engage with them. They are listed arbitrarily.  A big part of this assignment is to give thought to organization how you develop the essay (both within paragraphs and between paragraphs).  Having good organization between paragraphs and good flow of ideas within paragraphs requires writing the essay via several drafts.  

·       Edit your essays for spelling, grammar, sentence coherency and organization of ideas.

·       Citation: Cite all borrowed ideas within essay, be they quoted or paraphrased using parenthetical citation (for example, (Newman 200) or (Kimmel 102). This also goes for any YouTube videos and documentaries. No works cited page is required.

Essay Question: Using your sociological imagination, write an essay exploring your gender socialization using the below concepts and engaging with the below texts.
