Week 2 Assignment Instructions
Throughout the course, you will prepare and submit sections of a research paper that is designed for you to contribute original research and analysis on an issue of your choosing relevant to Public Safety.
Your final research paper submitted in Week 7 must be at least (12-15 pages) in addition to a cover page (with name, date, title, course, and professor’s name), and reference page.
Any figures, tables, maps, charts, etc, and the Title and Reference pages DO NOT COUNT TOWARD TOTAL PAGE COUNT.
For your first assignment due Week 2, you are to submit a written paper that includes your:
Research Question, a Thesis Statement, and Purpose Statement.
Your research question is the grounded portion of your project. Your thesis statement is what you believe will be the outcome of your identified research area. Your purpose section of this paper is dedicated to show why there is a need for your research. This should outline areas of need for your research along with the gap to which it is attempting to fill in the field of public safety.
It must contain at least six to eight sources; at least four must be peer-reviewed.
Length: Three (3) pages minimum.
Note: Your title and reference pages are not included as part of the three page content minimum.
Length: 3 pages, double spaced, 1″ margins, 12 Times New Roman font
Citations/References: You must use the APA style for this assignment.
