Framework for Ethical Decisions

Step 1: Review the Framework for Making an Ethical Decision we are using as the cornerstone to this course. As a result, your case study response should be formatted in the following way and answer the following questions.

Step 2: Review/read & think through the case(s) – Ask yourself, what would you do in this situation?

Step 3: Use the following section headers/outline in your ORIGINAL posts (min 300 words) to respond to your assigned case. 

1. Identifying Ethical Issues (2pts)
2. Articulating the Facts of the Case & IDing Ethical Stakeholders (2pts)
3. Listing Possible Actions & Outcomes (2pts) 
   1. While most of these cases have resolved outcomes, what else do you think should be done in each?
4. Ethically Evaluating Actions (2pts)

1. Evaluate each option in (3) using at least TWO OF THE ETHICAL APPROACHES WE HAVE STUDIED.
2. Making and Providing Moral Justification for your decision (2pts)

2. Considering all these approaches, which option best addresses the situation? Why? –> When doing this, make reference to one of the primary readings for the Approach you decided to take  
3. What ethical considerations are being prioritized over others? Why? When doing this, make reference to one of the primary readings for the Approach you decided to take  

Step 4: Respond to two of your peer’s case study analyses (min. 150words/response post). – NOTE: responses to your peers are required and must show demonstratable engagement in order to receive more than a ‘0’ on these boards. 

In the response to your peer you should do 2/3 of the following:

1. Expand on a point made by the original author by quoting a passage from reading this week that helps gain insights into the issue at hand. 
2. Make an observation about an ethical issue or stakeholder that may have been overlooked.
3. Offer something in support of or suggestions to the ethical evaluation offered regarding those actions. – What do you think the author did accurately? What needs more analysis?
