MO3 – Systematically apply concepts of philosophy and education theory to your work-based practice in relation to current key debates in education and critically evaluate the impact of research and enquiry upon that practice.
Task
For the Essay Assessment Task Three Essay: critically evaluate your own work-based practice drawing upon a range of philosophical perspectives with links to education theories. Critically analyse, evaluate, and reflect upon how the module has influenced your own learning and professional development. Sources from the set texts and your own wider reading will be used to underpin the essay with citations. These will demonstrate a critical approach to the different philosophical and theoretical ideas that guide you as an education practitioner.
You can draw upon your ePortfolio glossary for the definitions of key philosophical, theoretical, and practice-based terminology to underpin your ideas. Do not describe the theories or philosophical ideas but use sources to underpin the concepts that you have reflected upon. You will demonstrate criticality by drawing upon your reading and research to indicate that you have made links between how philosophy of education and education theory impact your own work-based practice and role as a professional in education.
Please make sure that you correctly cite and reference all secondary sources and any images you use and include a reference list.
