Common Nursing Problem in Maternal, Newborn, or Pediatric Population

You will select a topic that addresses a common nursing problem that occurs in the maternal, newborn, or pediatric population—and identify three (3) nursing interventions that can be used to address the concern.

Please read the instructions/expectations carefully.

• Final paper should be 1.5-2 pages, excluding the reference page. Papers that exceed 2 pages will receive a point deduction. Clarification: Do not include a title page with your submission. Include your name & the date in the top right corner with a centered title. Include the page number, flush right, in the header of every page. 

• Final paper should include 3 appropriate sources. All sources should be current (< 5 years). You must use at least one American nursing journal (See commonly used examples below.) as one of your 3 sources. Clarification: You may use/cite the textbook, but it will not count as one of your sources.  Those who do use it should have the 3 sources that meet the assignment guidelines & then the text cited as a 4^th (optional) source.  If used, it should be cited in accordance to APA format for texts.

Intervention #2: Education-based recommendation

Intervention meets assignment criteria (2 points). Clearly identify your supportive intervention (3 points). Use the evidence to validate this intervention, and describe how this intervention addresses the goal of improving care (10 points).

Intervention #3: Community-based recommendation

Intervention meets assignment criteria (2 points). Clearly identify your supportive intervention (3 points). Use the evidence to validate this intervention, and describe how this intervention addresses the goal of improving care (10 points).
