This topic interests me because I would like to understand the psychology of bullying. I would like to understand why an individual would gain pleasure from mistreating another person. Many researchers have focused their research on understanding how bullying affects the victims, and not much research has been focused on the perpetrators. I am invested in understanding what drives bullies to mistreat other people and the psychological factors that influence their actions to help stop them. I would further want to investigate the psychological differences between cyberbullying and physical bullying. The aspect of cyberbullying is interesting because people say hurtful things to strangers, but they would never engage in such behavior in person. This is a correlation that I would like to understand.
