Type 1 and 2 diabetes mellitus, asthma, bronchiolitis, COPD, myocardial infarction, heart failure, hypertension, stroke, dementia. Choose your topic from the aforementioned conditions. You must discuss aetiology and pathophysiology, brief epidemiology, clinical manifestations and complications, clinical diagnosis/workup, nonpharmacologic (relevant to Nursing) and pharmacologic management. You must reword or paraphrase the information from your resources so that the information can be understood by your target audience. Use diagrams, illustrations or image to make things simple and clear. Please remember that the poster is prepared for a patient with a diagnosed disease. The patient may be anxious, fearful, or overwhelmed. Be mindful of discussing mortality rates in the poster. Information needs to be explained in clear simple sentences. You may use bullets in one part if you intend to enumerate some information.
Target audience: By “plain language” that is the language you will use with a lay person (say a member of your family or a patient). In that case, you need to avoid using technical terms.
Length: You will submit one side of a single A4 sheet in PDF format to Canvas.
