OVERVIEW
The research topic in Module 1: Week 1 allowed you to start thinking and planning your weekly assignments around your applied evaluation program setting of interest. You will use the compiled review of empirical literature and resourses related to your selected applied evaluation to complete this mock program evaluation.
This mock program evaluation will build on your skills to apply to a program that needs to be evaluated. You will practice these program evaluation skills by systematically collecting information about program activities and objectives, monitor progress, and to report and communicate results to network members, partners, stakeholders, and community. You be able to demonstrate how spending time consider aspects and components for evaluating a program is well worth the effort as it saves significant time in the long run.
INSTRUCTIONS
- In Module 1: Week 1, you selected a program setting for your Evaluation Proposal with which you are most familiar:
a. Financial Affairs Office of your college
b. A hospital laboratory
c. A preschool center - The Program Evaluation must include at least 5 empirical studies in peer-reviewed journals in addition to the course textbooks and the Bible that addresses your selected topic. A minimum of 3 sources should be peer-reviewed articles published within the last 5 years.
- Must be 5 pages (exclusive of title page, abstract, references pages).
The following are required evaluation plan components:
- Program Description: Basic outline of setting context for the evaluation plan including, program mission, vision, listing of program goals and objectives, network history and members.
- Evaluation Design: Outline the purpose and method of evaluation you are considering
- Plan to Measure Key Data: Read and start thinking about key process and outcome data and identifying specific and defined measurements. This section can be just the heading.
- Collecting and Reporting Results: Read and start thinking about gathering and illustrating program progress and impact. This section can be just the heading.
- Communication Plan of Key Results: Read and start thinking about how to intentionally and purposefully share evaluation results with members, partners, community and funders, that demonstrates success and value. This section can be just the heading.
