Cybersecurity

Info Management Paper Proposal
I would like to explore the topic of cybersecurity. The main question my paper seeks to answer is what vulnerabilities cybersecurity frameworks have and what can be done about them to protect users’ sensitive data. Cybersecurity is a continuous process, not a finished product. Every day, new, more effective cyberattack methods emerge. As a result, businesses and their staff members must regularly conduct internal audits, assess the company’s current state, train staff, and raise employee cybersecurity knowledge. Access control systems connect over the internet and contain all the necessary hardware and software elements, making them susceptible to cyberattacks unless virus prevention measures are built into the design from the beginning. A typical access control system could include a variety of hardware located all over a structure. Priority one for organizations should be to secure the access control system’s weakest points. In addition, the security system’s cybersecurity should be emphasized.
The first source I expect to use is the study by Taherdoost (2022). It provides a narrative overview of the most prevalent cybersecurity frameworks and guidelines. I can use this paper to explore what practices and procedures can be employed to check whether an information system can meet security requirements according to cybersecurity standards.
The second study by Georgescu et al. (2019) uses a named entity recognition (NER)-based approach to improve the method of diagnosing and detecting potential vulnerabilities within an Internet of Things (IoT) system. The suggested approach blends ontologies and NER techniques to achieve a high level of automation (Georgescu et al., 2019). I can use this study to present the data protection approach. The third one is by Cremer et al. (2022) provides an excellent review of data evaluation and categorization regarding cybersecurity. This paper provides many peer-reviewed studies I can employ in future research.
