Mental Health Disorders and Their Effects on Behaviors

Your draft should be in power point form, and it can include the information that is requested in the final project guideline, however, it does not have to be complete, I am looking for your format to be in place. I would like to see minimum 5 slides of your content you may add more if you choose but I am only looking for 5. I will provide feedback based on what you have submitted. Once your draft is approved you will be granted access to upload the final.
This information should be put together and displayed in the form of a power point presentation. It needs to be neat, clear, attractive, and its organization should help the viewer have a good understanding of the content. Please include images and color.

These are the main details that I will be looking for in your draft, pay special attention to this section because lack of these details will result in a loss of points, bringing down your overall score.

• You are allowed to use video references such as including YouTube videos in the presentation if you feel it is vital to your project. If you choose to use YouTube as a reference it can be a video but no more than 1.5 minutes.

• The presentation is clever and presented with originality; unique approach and coverage of the event and people enhanced the project.
• Make sure your slides are not overcrowded with information.

Throughout the course we have discussed how psychology influences our thoughts, actions, behaviors, and memories. We have yet to delve into the dark side of human nature. In this project, you will attempt to understand mental health disorders and their relationship to catastrophic behavior.
You will research one of the names from the list provided and create a power point presentation where you describe your perpetrator. This project is geared towards featuring the darker side of human nature where you detail jaw-dropping crimes and provide analysis as to why they were committed.
Your project must include:
• Background Information
• WHO? Including birthplace and details about their upbringing.
• WHAT did they do? WHAT crime/s is he or she most known for? ( I want strong details, not just an overview, tell us the story in detail)
• WHEN did this happen or take place and what are the preceding events that were taking place in the individual’s life that could have contributed to the event.
• Do you think the time period in which this crime took place is a result of some other event that was happening? (Research other crimes that took place during that specific year, were they similar in nature, how many other similar crimes took place and where, describe that event. It does not have to be as detail oriented as your main character but provide enough details that will give us an idea of the similarities)
• Do you believe the time period may have helped facilitate the crime. If yes, tell us how and why
• The personal assessment: Do you believe this person suffered from a psych disorder, personality disorder, or both?
• Provide a list of at least 3-4 mental health disorders that may have contributed to the character’s actions.
• Define each disorder and provide a list of behaviors (at least 2-4 symptoms) that the character was exhibiting that helped you come to your conclusion. This can include a family history of a mental health disorder.
• You need to explain your assessment and provide evidence that supports it.
• Based on your research, provide a list of treatments that could have assisted in preventing this individual from committing those crimes.
Common or Professional assessments these can be personal beliefs and professional assessments.
